He had so much input and pre-amp gain running that when he was playing, he got that great sound, but as soon as he stopped it went into feedback from all the gain. The 880 does something similar in that when a station that's been full-quieting shuts off, the receiver starts roaring static.

Having issues piping audio from SDR# to DSD+ on my laptop. On my desktop, it works fine because DSD recognizes the VB cable as the only audio input source. On laptop, the laptop microphone appears as audio input device 1, so no audio comes through to DSD. Otherwise, SDR sharp works good...

At work we use motorola ht750's, cp200's, and xpr6100's (digital) we have a repeater with a input of 469.0250 and output of 464.0250 standard 5+ offset. I dont know the PL tone but i found the DPL is 723.
There is the rare repeater that just uses carrier squelch on the input, but that is —extremely— rare, especially on GMRS with the proliferation of cheap radios. Almost always you'll find that the repeaters will require a CTCSS or DCS code to access. There are other methods of controlling access, but that's another discussion.
